Without SHAPE without FORM - Reflections - Sangat and the self
REFLECTIONS – SANGAT AND THE SELF is a collaborative exhibition bringing together London-based painter Jasmir Creed and Birmingham-based artist Roo Dhissou, curated within the framework of without SHAPE without FORM. Exploring themes of individuality, kinship, and healing, the project addressed wider societal concerns such as mental well- being and social fragmentation.
Creed’s focus on personal identity and Dhissou’s emphasis on collective encounters were woven into a shared dialogue, inviting audiences to slow down, explore, and reflect. Through moments of connection and self-discovery, the exhibition highlighted clarity of mind, fellowship, and community as vital pathways toward true and lasting healing.
Lucy led the design from concept to completion over four months, retrofitting a former Citroën garage in Slough into two new gallery spaces, courtyards, and a reception/ HQ for without SHAPE without FORM.
